RESERVA AMAZÓNICA provides the best tourism infrastructure available in the entire region, and is a prime location for exploring the rainforest. The lodge boasts 30 private cabanas and 3 suites built with local materials in native style. Service areas are located in a two-story wooden pavilion with a cathedral ceiling housing the dining room, bar, the main lounge and a mezzanine overlooking the rainforest, where visitors can relax while contemplating the unique scenery.

Daily commercial flights connect Puerto Maldonado with Lima (2 hour flight time) and Cusco (35 minutes). Upon arrival at the Puerto Maldonado airport, visitors take the RESERVA AMAZÓNICA bus to the city's river port, and then take a canoe to the RESERVA AMAZÓNICA lodge. It is about an hour-long canoe ride (15 Km. or 9 miles) downriver from Puerto Maldonado.

NOTE: Sales Tax (IGV) on lodging is applicable to Peruvians and to foreign nationals with 60 consecutive days or more in Peru. To avoid this tax, foreign nationals and Peruvians who live abroad must present during hotel check-in their Customs stamped Andean Immigration Card - TAM, their Customs stamped original passport and the visa that certifies they live abroad (this last requirement is only for Peruvians that live outside Peru). Additionally, in case the room is shared by both a taxable and a non-taxable guest at the same time, the Sales Tax will be applied.
